New Agent classes

Getting your idaho real estate license

  1. Take your pre-license classes (Module 1 and Module 2).  Look below for our available pre-license courses. 
  2. Pass the state and national portions of the salesperson licensing exam and get fingerprinted for the background check.  Schedule the exam and fingerprint appointment through Pearson VUE at www.pearsonvue.com.
    1. Fingerprints can take anywhere from 1 week to 12 weeks for processing.  Read IREC’s Fingerprint Instructions -
      1. We recommend having your fingerprints taken at a Pearson Vue test center, if possible.   Electronic fingerprints are processed much faster than fingerprints made on a paper card. 
      2. If you cannot have your fingerprints taken at a Pearson Vue test center, you must contact IREC to have a fingerprint packet sent to you.  Take the fingerprint card to the nearest law enforcement agency to have your fingerprints rolled.  Make sure you and the person who is taking your prints follow the fingerprint instructions exactly. 
    2. Read the Pearson VUE candidate handbook for more information on topics covered in the exams. See the approved textbook list for resources helpful in preparing for the exams. You can download the License Law and Rules Booklet and guidelines are available from the IREC website.  See IREC’s Approved Textbook List for information on obtaining copies of the other resource books.

We offer the New Agent classes in a few convenient ways:
1) In conjunction with Idaho Real Estate School out of Boise.  The instructor is in Boise and the classes are interactive with our classroom in Idaho Falls. 
2) LIVE classes in our classroom in Pocatello and Idaho Falls.
​3) REMOTE class with the student participating via ZOOM with a LIVE class in one of our School Locations.
